Dr. Samuel Rosas is a physician-scientist and orthopedic surgeon with a multidisciplinary background in clinical care, research, and health economics. He is currently completing a fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction at Duke University, following his orthopedic surgery residency and PhD in Molecular and Translational Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine, where he also earned an MBA. Starting September first 2025 he will be joining the University of Miami and the division of hip and knee replacements.  Originally from Medellín, Colombia, Dr. Rosas received his medical degree from Universidad CES and completed research fellowships at the University of Miami and Holy Cross Orthopedic Research Institute. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, serves on editorial boards for several leading orthopedic journals, and has presented extensively at national and international conferences. His research interests include joint replacement outcomes, cost-effectiveness, and spaceflight physiology, having been part of NASA’s Rodent Research-9 mission. Fluent in Spanish, English and German,, Dr. Rosas is committed to advancing orthopedic care through innovation, evidence-based practice, and a global perspective.
