Peter joined the Army whilst a medical student at Cambridge University and completed his orthopaedic training in the Armed Forces studying on the Oxford, Cambridge and London training rotations. He finished his knee specialist training in Sydney at the world renowned North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre.  During his training he was honoured with several awards including the  Army’s Montefiore Memorial Prize and Medal for excellence in surgery and the Sir Walter Langdon-Brown Prize for his Master of Surgery (M.Chir) thesis at Cambridge. He was appointed to the consultant staff of Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey in 2003 and has been the visiting knee surgeon to the Defence Medical Services Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court until 2016. Peter has published papers and lectured at national and international meetings on bone infection, knee biomechanics and ACL surgery and been involved in cartilage transplantation clinical trials. He has done several tours of duty in military trauma hospitals in the Middle East but has now left the Army to concentrate on his knee practice and academic interests
