Nathan Melton, DO

Dr. Melton is board certified in orthopedic surgery and subspecialty certified in Sports Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS). He is a senior clinical examiner for the AOBOS and serves on their executive board. He has taken care of multiple sports teams during his career ranging from high school and college settings (Southwest Baptist University), all the way to professional sports teams (Kansas City Mavericks). He performs a broad spectrum of general orthopedic procedures, including fracture fixation of the upper and lower extremity; Arthroscopy of the knee, ankle and shoulder. He performs ligament and tendon repairs of the upper and lower extremity as well as joint replacement, most notably custom total knee replacement with 3D printing technology. In addition, he completed a Foot and Ankle fellowship at the University of Cincinnati and performs a variety of reconstructive procedures about the lower extremity. Academically, he is the chair of the AOBOS test writing committee for board certification, writing the questions and developing the test that other orthopedic surgeons have to take to become board certified. Above all though he tries to guide his practice by the following principle. “I do my best at all times to treat your problem like I would treat myself or someone in my family.”
