Kevin Murphy, MD

Dr. Murphy is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. He has a special clinical interest in the care and rehabilitation of injured athletes of all ages. His surgical expertise includes arthroscopy, joint reconstruction and orthopedic trauma. Dr. Murphy currently serves as a team physician for the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer. Dr. Murphy provides orthopedic support for the Portland Thorns and he is the head team orthopedic surgeon for the Portland Thunder of the Arena Football League. He provides orthopedic care at the Nike Sports Medicine Clinic and orthopedic support for several local high schools. For recreation Dr. Murphy enjoys travel, golf and snowboarding. His wife, Laura, is a pediatrician and they have three children.
