John Targett, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, MB BS, FRCS

Mr. John Targett is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist interest in knee surgery including joint replacement, soft tissue injury including cruciate ligament and knee stability problems.

For some knee replacements Mr. Targett uses the 3D printed patient customized iTotal restor3d Knee implants which are individually designed and manufactured for the patient, providing a perfect, customized fit that mimics the natural shape of the knee.

Mr. Targett’s completed his orthopaedic training at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, London, where in 1995 he gained a fellowship of Higher Orthopaedics and worked as Director of Orthopaedic Surgery for more than five years.

Mr. Targett previously held the position as Clinical Director of Orthopaedics, Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Basildon University Hospital.

Mr. Targett has extensive experience in all aspects of knee surgery and his main aim is to ensure the best possible recovery following surgery.
