Dr. Johnson joined Centura Orthopedics in 2016.  He has been practicing in the Parker area since 2009 and specializes in total joint replacement, with a special interest in arthritis, hip and knee preservation, as well as outpatient surgery.”.

After earning his undergraduate degree at Central Michigan University and Medical Degree from Michigan State University, graduating with the highest possible distinction of outstanding, Dr. Johnson completed residency at Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center. He then pursued fellowship training at the Rocky Mountain Joint Replacement Fellowship.

Education is intrinsic to Dr. Johnson’s practice and he is committed to delivering outstanding patient care. He believes in evidence based medicine and a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment and recovery of each patient. Dr. Johnson is active in clinical research and has numerous presentations and publications on joint replacement to his credit.

As the Director of Orthopedics and Joint Replacement at Parker Adventist Hospital, Dr. Johnson utilizes innovative techniques such as custom/patient specific knee replacement, computer assisted hip and knee replacement, and anterior minimally invasive hip replacement. He regularly travels the country lecturing and teaching these techniques to other surgeons and frequently has surgeons visit his operating room to learn these cutting edge techniques. When Dr. Johnson is not practicing medicine he enjoys outdoor activities, sports, and spending time with his wife and four children.
